Shuichi Adachi was born in 1957, Kanagawa in Japan. He received B.E., M.E. and Dr.E. degrees in 1981, 1983, 1986, respectively, in Electrical Engineering from Keio University, Yokohama, Japan. From 1986 to 1990, he was a researcher with Toshiba Research and Development Center, where he researched on attitude control systems design of a large satellite. |
| In 1990 he joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Utsunomiya University, as an associate professor, and became a professor in 2002. | |
| From 1993 to 1996, he was a guest researcher at National Aerospace Laboratory, Japan. Since 2001, he has been a part-time instructor in“Modeling and System Identification” at Keio University. From March 2003 to January 2004, he stays Cambridge University Engineering Department, UK. | |
| He is a member of the Society of Instrumentation and Control Engineers (SICE), the Institution of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ), the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). From 2001 to 2003, he was a board member of SICE. |
